Lucy Hale Lands Role in Spike Lee’s Son of the South

Lucy Hale has landed a new role! The actress has joined Spike Lee’s civil rights drama, Son of the South alongside Lucas Till.

Based on the autobiography by Bob Zellner called, “The Wrong Side of Murder Creek: A White Southerner in the Freedom Movement.”, Variety is reporting, “Till is starring as Zellner and Hale as Carol Ann, Zellner’s college girlfriend. Lex Scott Davis”

The story follows Zellner, an Alabama native and grandson of a Ku Klux Klan member, who is pulled into the center of the civil rights movement in 1961.

So this explains why Lucy has been in Alabama!
