Shawn Mendes has released the lyric video to his new single, “If I Can’t Have You”. The single was released earlier this month, but was not originally supposed to be released by the singer.

Shawn revealed on Apple Beats 1, that he originally wrote the song for Dua Lipa. However, after completing the song Shawn realized that he was actually destined to release the song.

I am glad he made the decision he did. I love Dua, but he sounds so good on the song.
