Millie Bobby Brown Covers The May Digital Issue Of Glamour UK

Millie Bobby Brown is on the cover of the new Digital issue of Glamour UK. The young actress is on the cover to promote her new film, Godzilla: King Of Monsters. Highlights from her interview are below.

On getting involved with UNICEF: “UNICEF is the biggest and best children’s organisation in the world. I have always been so blown away by what they do for children’s rights. I am very passionate about children getting the education they need, providing vaccines for them, protecting children against violence and ensuring they know what their rights are. Being named an ambassador – honestly it was one of the craziest situations. I can’t even put into words how I felt, but it was just so exciting.”

On social media: “Social media is one of the best places in the world and one of the worst – it counteracts itself. It sends such amazing messages; it raises awareness of situations that need to be heard. Nobody should say it isn’t a platform for positivity and change. But then there are some really heartbreaking things to happen on social media and I have dealt with a lot of bullying online. I want to make it a happy place.”

On filming her new movie: “I was really excited about that because going back three years ago people wouldn’t listen to me, and now these years are gone by and I have witnessed so much love and respect for youth on set. It makes me so much happier that adults actually appreciate youth and opinions. On a set I don’t want to be treated as a minor – although I am, I am not there to just be treated like a child, I am there to treated as a co-worker and my opinion be treated as such. You know, you are a man, I am a girl but that doesn’t matter, our opinions are equally as important as each other. I have witnessed that change. On Godzilla; I was so nervous because I haven’t done a film before. It’s definitely like nothing I have experienced, it’s very different to doing a TV show.”
