last night i had the honor of attending @virginvoyages #vvscarletnight party in london. what is that ??? what is @virginvoyages ??? it’s a brand new cruise line emerging from the Virgin family . listen , you are CORRECT in thinking about how absolutely gnarly and unjust the cruising business is not only for our oceans and our earth , but for socially concerning reasons as well . i am always the first person to hold a company accountable when they make choices that don’t have integrity … which is why i am SO pumped about @virginvoyages . they are honestly changing the GAME when it comes to vacationing. when it comes to ethical business. not only are they committed to sustainability in ways that are unprecedented (think mindfulness about single use plastics , use of local foods , partnerships with organizations fighting for our earth , innovation of amazing technology that works with waste water and new energy sourcing WHILE on the sea), they ALSO are committed to equality amongst crew members … making a deep effort to ensure there is the right balance of power on the ship , fair wages , rad crew chambers , etc . i’m all business when it comes to making choices for our future generations , but i also can’t stop the dance. EVER. luckily for all us, this new creation exists where we can do BOTH. oh ? and , they’re changing the way we’re ENTERTAINED on board. meaning , no more stuffy cabin hangs … no kids … just dancing and spa-life-ing and epic meals and yoga and if you’re lucky @iammarkronson and and and . no big deal . and yeah , the world of instagram loves this next hashtag … and you know what ?? i’m proud to be using it. #partner @virginvoyages

Shailene Woodley attended the Virgin Voyages Scarlet Night Party last night, May 22, in London. The young actress looked stunning in her red dress as she celebrated the launch of Virgin’s new sustainable cruise line.

Shailene has been a big advocate on the push towards more sustainable and eco-friendly companies and products. It should come as no surprise then that Shailene would take to a cruise line, such as this one, where the cruise line states “Throughout our voyages, we aim to minimize environmental impacts, establish responsible supply chains, promote thriving local economies, and play a leading role in protecting and restoring the ocean’s health”.
