So beyond grateful to have been chosen to deliver the commencement speech to the brilliant Westridge Class of 2019 🎓 This compassionate and driven class of inspiring humans has made it their mission to move forward as contributors to our community at large, even raising money throughout their senior year to provide more educational scholarship opportunities for classes to come #inspiring ⭐️

Yara Shahidi had the amazing opportunity to give the commencement speech for the graduating class at Westridge School for Girls last night, June 7, in Pasadena. The young actress was nothing but smiles as she took the stage to congratulate the girls and inspire them to do great things in the future.

Yara has just returned to the Los Angeles area after being in New York City these past few days. Yara presented the Board of Directors’ Tribute to Barbie at the recent CFDA Awards before hopping on her flight back to the west coast.
