REVIEW: Siren Makes Quite the Splash with 2B Premiere
The premiere of Siren’s 2B season is set to take place tonight, June 13, and what an episode it will be for Siren fans. The episode picks up immediately after the finale with Ben and Maddie arriving to find Xander’s boat in flames and the mermaids returning to the ocean.
The episode lays the foundation for new storylines for Ben (Alex Roe) and Helen (Rena Owen) that will leave fans wondering how these stories are going to play out during the second half of the season. Both storylines are different in their own way and yet extremely intriguing. It will be fun to see what the writers have in store for these two characters in the remaining half of the season and to watch the actors bring the stories to life.
Fola Evans-Akingbola’s Maddie plays more of a secondary character in in the episode, but have no fear Maddie fans! The episode begins to lay some crumbs for what will hopefully be a really great storyline for Maddie/Ben/Ryn. Fans will definitely be left contemplating what’s to come for their favorite threesome after they see what unfolds. And for Ryn (Eline Powell) specifically, well fans will just have to wait and see.
Nicole (Natalee Linez) and Xander (Ian Verndun) will continue to explore their complicated relationship, though it may be more one sided than some would hope. Xander will not only be dealing with Nicole betraying his trust, but he will also have to face some inner demons as well in the episode.
From start to finish, the season 2B premiere is filled with a lot of information prepping fans for the final episodes of the second season. There will be a lot of questions raised and, hopefully, the writers will answer a majority of them before the season is out. This is a definitely must not miss episode.
Make sure to check out the episode tonight on Freeform and let us know what you think. Also, make sure to check the site tomorrow for our post premiere interview with Alex Roe.
