Take Your First Look at Anita in West Side Story

Steven Spielberg and 20th Century FOX has released the first look at Anita in their adaption of West Side Story. Played by Ariana DeBose, Anita was originally portrayed in the Broadway show and Rita Moreno portrayed the character in the movie.

West Side Story explores young love and tensions between rival gangs the Jets and the Sharks on the streets of 1957 New York. The movie also stars Ansel Elgort (Tony), Rachel Zegler (Maria), Ana Isabelle (Rosalia), Corey Stoll (Lieutenant Schrank), Brian d’Arcy James (Officer Krupke), and Curtiss Cook (Abe).

The movie will open in theaters on December 18, 2020.
