Tom Cruise Surprises SDCC with Top Gun: Maverick Trailer

One of the best surprises to come out of San Diego Comic Con this year, and let’s be real it is only Day 1, was the release of the first trailer for Top Gun: Maverick. Tom Cruise invaded Hall H in San Diego earlier this morning, July 18 to share the trailer with attendees in Hall H before it was released to the public.

The movie features the return of Cruise as Maverick and features newcomers to the Top Gun series, Miles Teller and Glen Powell. Teller is set to play the son to Maverick’s sidekick, Goose, who passes away in the original movie.

I will just say that being in Hall H when Tom Cruise took the stage was quite the experience. Yes, it had been rumored that Paramount would be revealing the movie’s trailer during the Con, but for it to actually happen and to have it be introduced by Tom Cruise was fantastic!
