Ewan McGregor to Return as Obi-Wan Kenobi

Ewan McGregor made a surprise appearance at the D23 Expo today, August 23 in Anaheim, CA. Ewan appeared during the Disney+ presentation to make a big announcement.

Ewan will be reprising his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in a new untitled series from Lucasfilm. The new series will premiere on Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+.

No other details were released, but just knowing that Ewan is returning as Obi-Wan is a huge deal! Here’s hoping we won’t have to wait too long before we hear about the new series.
