Sabrina Carpenter In Talks For New Young Adult Drama

Sabrina Carpenter is in talks to join a new film. The young actress is currently in negotiations for the upcoming young adult film, Clouds.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, this new film is based on the “…true story of Zach Sobiech, a high school kid who was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer. Sobiech faced the disease by turning to music and writing the song ‘Clouds,’ which went viral as a YouTube video and reached No. 1 on iTunes prior to his death in 2013 at the age of 18.”

The site goes on to say that “Carpenter, who is also a singer and released an album earlier this summer, will play Sobiech’s best friend with whom he writes songs.” She will be joined by Fin Argus and Madison Iseman in this film from director, Justin Baldoni.
