On playing being cast as a teen: “I just feel honored to be a part of stories that, had I been 15 when they came out, I would have been first in line at the movie theater”.
On her girlfriend, producer Bonnie Chance Roberts: “Not to sound flippant, but I was in love with her and all of her, and she’s a woman. That’s not scaring me or deterring me. And it wasn’t just women in general; it was her specifically.”
On starring as Monica Lewinsky in Ryan Murphy’s American Crime Story: “As a 26-year-old woman who still feels new to the industry, the fact that he would say he wants me to do this and help produce it is deeply empowering.”
