BB Exclusive: Marlon West Talks Heading Up the Effects Animation on Frozen 2

Today, November 22, the next movie in the Frozen franchise, Frozen 2 is being released to theaters. This movie is set continue the story of Elsa, Anna, Olaf and Kristoff and on for the ride is Marlon West.

West is the Head of Effects Animation on Frozen 2 and we had the chance to sit down and talk to him about the new movie. During our chat with West, we talked about how this movie differs from Frozen, what it took to bring the story to life, how the music impacted the effects, hand drawn animation vs. CGI and so much more.

One of my favorite scenes in the movie was the first scene ever released to the public earlier this year, Elsa attempting to use her magic against some very angry waves. What I loved most about that scene was how life like it seemed. I made sure to ask West about that scene and he went into great detail on what it took to create that scene and what gave it its like like feel.
