Daisy Ridley Covers The New Issue Of GQ

Daisy Ridley sat down with GQ magazine for a new interview. The young actress spoke with the magazine to promote her new film, Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker. Highlights from the interview are below.

On growing up: “We’re described as living on one of the most exclusive roads in London. Everyone else is very fancy around us, but our house was the rickety one on the street. Whenever I get picked up for a job, everyone goes, ‘Oh, this used to be a right dump.’ So it’s that. I mean, it’s not like we were the toast of St John’s Wood.”

On her character Rey: “There is an interesting conversation that’s happening with this use of ‘strong’. It’s not because Rey is strong that she’s amazing. It’s all the complexities of a human. It’s because she is a well-drawn person who is struggling with things and you’re with her.”

You can check out even more from her interview here. Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker opens in theaters on December 20.
