Emma Watson Joins Wizarding World Colleagues By Releasing Response To JK Rowlings Anti-Trans Tweets
Emma Watson’s has responded to Harry Potter author, JK Rowling’s recent anti-trans tweets. The young actress starred as Hermione Granger in the film adaptation of the novels.
In her statement, Emma made it very clear that “Trans people are who they say they are and deserve to live their lives without being constantly questioned or told they aren’t who they say they are.” Emma then went on to announce some of the organizations she donated to that support the trans community before signing off with a “Happy Pride2020”.
Emma’s statement comes days after her fellow Wizarding World colleagues Daniel Radcliffe and Eddie Redmayne released their own statements. The two shared very similar thoughts to Emma’s statements about the trans community and how the public can educate themselves.
