Emma Watson Joins The Board Of Directors At The Kering Group
Emma Watson has joined the Board of Directors for the Kering Group. The young actress was appointed Chair of the Sustainability Committee of the Board of Directors during the organization’s recent Annual General Meeting.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kering, François-Henri Pinault, spoke about the recent appointment of Emma and fellow appointees Jean Liu and Tidjane Thiam in a recent statement. He stated, “I am delighted to welcome Jean Liu, Tidjane Thiam and Emma Watson to our Board of Directors. Their respective knowledge and competences, and the multiplicity of their backgrounds and perspectives will be invaluable additions to Kering’s Board of Directors. The collective intelligence that comes from diverse points of view and the richness of different experiences are crucial to the future of our organization. I am proud to add such impressive talents to the team.”
Not too sure how this will affect her career as an actress, but Emma has been one of the few celebrity leaders when it comes to sustainable fashion, so a move like this was only a matter of time. For those who would like to know, “Kering manages the development of a series of renowned Houses in Fashion, Leather Goods, Jewelry and Watches: Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Brioni, Boucheron, Pomellato, DoDo, Qeelin, Ulysse Nardin, Girard-Perregaux, as well as Kering Eyewear.”
Congrats to Emma!
