Amandla Stenberg Joins the Movie Cast of Dear Evan Hansen
Amandla Stenberg has joined the cast of the movie adaptation of Dear Evan Hansen. Stenberg is set to play a reconceived and expanded version of Alana.
Alana is a high school senior whose cheery façade and social-media savvy mask a deeper loneliness and isolation, and whose response to the death of a classmate ignites a movement. Stenberg is currently working with the show’s composers, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul to write an original song for her character to sing in the film.
I can’t wait to see her in the movie!
