Miley Cyrus Blows Us Away with her Backyard Sessions

Miley Cyrus’ Backyard Sessions premiered on MTV last night, October 16. Miley and her band, The Social Distancers, took the stage in Miley’s backyard and gave one h*ll of a performance.

Miley kicked off the set by performing a darker version of Britney Spears’ “Gimme More”. Most of Miley’s set was filled with covers, but she did perform one of her own songs, her new single, “Midnight Sky”.

She also performed a duet wit her sister, Noah Cyrus. The duo covered Noah’s song, “I Got So High That I Saw Jesus”. You can watch some of her performances under the jump.

Holy moly, Miley killed it last night. The way she took some of the covers and put her own spin on them made me think she was performing a brand new song. Plus, her range was showcased so well throughout the entire concert. H
