Warner Bros. made a huge announcement regarding its 2021 film slate. The company will be releasing all of their 2021 films immediately to HBO Max during the first month of its release as well as theaters.
This means The Little Things, Judas and the Black Messiah, Tom & Jerry, Godzilla vs. Kong, Mortal Kombat, Those Who Wish Me Dead, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, In The Heights, Space Jam: A New Legacy, The Suicide Squad, Reminiscence, Malignant, Dune, The Many Saints of Newark, King Richard, Cry Macho and Matrix 4 will all debut on the streaming service.
After the one month is over, the film will leave HBO Max, but remain in theaters. This is a huge move for WB. It will be interesting to see if the other big studios will follow suit. I’m looking at you Disney!
