Chloe x Halle Star In Vogue Short Film, “Why the Sun and the Moon Live in the Sky”

Chloe x Halle are featured in a new short film for Vogue titled, “Why the Sun and the Moon Live in the Sky”. The two young musicians teamed with filmmaker Julie Dash for this new creation based on a folktale by the Efik people of southeastern Nigeria.

Shot in Little Corona del Mar Beach, Dash stated that “The filming was physically grueling. Chloe and Halle had to walk half a mile across a stoney beach, wearing long gowns, in the cold morning and later in the heat. I don’t think they knew they were going to get wet, too! They never complained. I was very familiar with the sisters, but did not know how sweet they were!”
