EXCLUSIVE: Lucien Laviscount Talks his New Movie, “Trust”
This coming Friday, March 12, Victoria Justice, Matthew Daddario, Katherine McNamara, and Lucien Laviscount will release their brand new movie, Trust. We had the chance to sit down with Laviscount to talk about his role as sexy artist, Ansgar in the new movie.
While with the star, we talked about what he think’s the movie is about, his costumes and so much more. Check out our interview below.
What drew you to the role of Ansgar?
“I think that this journey that we all go on through our different characters, and who we are, I think that is a piece of it. I thought it was a great movie and I thought the director [Brian DeCubellis] was amazing. I sat down with him and I thought, he wants to make something that people want to bounce off.”
What do you think the movie is about?
“It’s about people and it’s about emotions. I think, now, there’s so many things you can watch, streaming, TV, whatever. I think so many things are so drawn out on this stuff, but this is about people. I think that that’s the heart of this. It’s about people’s decisions, and I think that everyone makes these decisions, even without making the decision. I think people ask these questions without properly putting them into place like we do in the movie. I think Brian killed it, he’s fantastic for doing that.”

Let’s talk about Ansgar wardrobe in the movie, did you have any input on it?
“It was two, three weeks before filming and she [Costume Designer, Gina Ruiz] was like, ‘How do you think Ansgar should look?’ And I was like, ‘I want Brad Pitt in Fight Club.’ So we got the fur, we got everything”.
What was your favorite piece of wardrobe?
“The boots for me.”
What would you say your biggest obstacle was filming this movie?
“Definitely trying to be cool and sexy smoking a cigarette. I don’t smoke. I smoked literally about 20 cigarettes and I don’t even know if that scene made it in the movie. I don’t think it made it in, I don’t think it made the cut.”
