Camila Mendes Shows Off Her Playful Side In New Shoot For Paper Magazine
Camila Mendes posed for a photo shoot for Paper magazine. The young star sat down with the outlet to chat about her time on Riverdale and show off her 80s’ inspired looks. Highlights from her interview are below.
On the 5 year time jump during Riverdale‘s season five: “When we get a script, I know what to expect. And it’s usually going to be something absurd and insane that could not possibly make sense. I feel like logic can be boring on a show like ours, you know?”
On a skill she picked up while on Riverdale: “The main skill that I’ve picked up is being quick on my feet. We don’t really get scripts much ahead of time, we don’t get to sit with them and do the work. I come from this background of being super prepared and breaking down my scripts — I think I did that for the first three episodes of Riverdale, and then you fall out of it, because there’s just no time. I have to go to sleep so I have enough for the next day.”
On her relationship with Madelaine Petsch and Lili Reinhart: “We all got out of relationships at the same time and then went through this pandemic together. And now we’ve been bonded by how much change has happened. Me, Madelaine and Lili, specifically, we’ve never been closer than we have this season. It’s really nice to have them, to feel like I do have friendships here — meaningful ones.”
