The first trailer for Universal Pictures’ new film, Dear Evan Hansen, has been released. Based on the Tony winning Broadway musical stars Ben Platt, Amy Adams, Julianne Moore, Kaitlyn Dever, and Amandla Stenberg.

In this new film, “Ben Platt, who starred in the Broadway production, reprises his role as an anxious, isolated high schooler aching for understanding and belonging amid the chaos and cruelty of the social-media age.” It will premiere in theaters September 24.
