Yesterday, June 3, Paramount+ premiered the first two episodes of Why Women Kill season 2. We had the chance to sit down with B.K. Cannon, who plays Dee in the new season, to talk about Dee’s big reveal in the first two episodes of the season.
We are putting the interview under the jump as it contains a major spoiler from the first two episodes! For those who did tune in for the first episodes, what did you think of the reveal? I will definitely say, I did not see it coming, but I loved it!

The big reveal that came out of the first two episodes was Dee’s relationship with a lovely little man named Scooter [Matthew Dadarrio], who also is in another relationship. Can you shed a little bit of light on their relationship?
“I think for Dee and for a lot of people, secrets can be a lot of fun. And I think that she really enjoys her time with Scooter. I really love that she is doing what she wants, especially in that time. We think about how women are supposed to be very discreet and very polite in their romantic endeavors. But I think Dee, she doesn’t have a problem going after what she wants and I think with Scooter, she really enjoys the time that she has with him. But, I think she also realizes that that same secret can also be destructive just to the way that she views herself.”
What does the future hold for the two?
“I think eventually she’s going to realize that that while Scooter is very beautiful and that she enjoys the pleasures that he does bring, she does eventually realize that there’s more to life than just hiding in a room and dressing up like a old lady to be able to get those things. She eventually wants to be able to live her life out in public and not be hiding. But I know, with these illicit affairs, there’s a lot of love triangles going on here.”
How would you describe the rest of the season in one word?
Let’s say scandalous, that’s not even a good descriptor, but that’s the only thing that’s coming in my head. It’s going to get so much deeper, but they’ll get, be a lot more, let’s say familial cover-up”.
