Amazon Debuts New Image & Announces Release Date For New The Lord Of The Rings Series

The first look image for the new The Lord Of The Rings series has been released by Amazon. The new series, based on the world created by J.R.R. Tolkien, will debut on the network on September 2, 2022.

According to Amazon, the series will focus “…thousands of years before the events of Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings books, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth.” With production having wrapped on the series, Amazon will most likely spend the next few months releasing more tidbits about the series and what fans can expect from the latest creation in the Tolkien world.
