Selena Gomez Hits Back At Negative Headlines About Her Time With Disney

Selena Gomez had to clarify some statements she made towards being on the Disney Channel in a recent press junket for her new show, Only Murders In The Building. The actress had some words for the Mouse House outlet during a recent TCA event that spread like wildfire with the media.

During the TCA event she had stated, “I signed my life away to Disney at a very young age and I didn’t know what I was doing”. Now that the statement has had time to marinate, Selena was able to clarify what she meant by those words when asked about any hesitancy to returning to television during the junket. She stated, “No, definitely not. I was looking for another show to do. And by the way, I’m beyond proud of the work that I did with Disney as well. It kind of shaped who I am in a way.”

She went on to say, “I have to say, I’m very lucky. As a female in my position, I was taken care of and I’ve only had lovely experiences, so I’m grateful for that.”

It’s stinks she even had to come out and say anything at all about the original statement.
