Listen to Laura Marano’s New Single, “I Wanna Know What It’s Like”

Laura Marano has released her new single! The song is called, “I Wanna Know What It’s Like” and it was released today, September 24.

Marano noted in her Instagram post today about the single, “I wrote it a few years ago in 2017 with @abcdefghijames123456789 [James Alan] and Björn Djupström while I was in Sweden. I was on a label at the time, and wrote a buuuunch of music, but a few months later I ended up getting dropped (what a time of life). So, this song ended up getting shelved. A few weeks ago, I played some unreleased music during a virtual show I was doing, and my fans at the show FREAKED about this song. Then, I showed it on Tik Tok (and on here), and saw a similar reaction 🙆🏻‍♀️🙆🏻‍♀️ So, I thought, okay I thiiink I’m gonna have to put this song out…

I got the incredible @sawyrmusic to finish up the song, which was really special because he actually produced the first song I ever put out as an artist called Boombox, so it was awesome working with him again!!! I literally was not planning on releasing anything for the rest of the year, especially because the music I’m working on right now is definitely coming from a different place than where I was when I wrote this song, but I essentially got peer pressured by my fans to release it haha, and I am SO glad I did!!! My little baby is finally out in the world, and I’m so happy 🥺”
