Pedro Pascal, and other members of The Last of Us universe, shared the first look at HBO’s new series. The photo features Pascal and his costar, Bella Ramsey, who will play the leads in the game adaptation.
The reveal comes on a day that means a lot to fans of the game, September 26. The day is known as Outbreak Day in the game, the day where the world ending infection ravaged through the United States, and it is also the day where fans celebrate the franchise.
The 10-episode first season takes place twenty years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Joel (Pascal) – a hardened survivor – is hired to smuggle Ellie (Ramsey) – a 14-year-old girl – out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey, as they both must traverse across the US and depend on each other for survival.
