Emilio Estevez Not Returning for Season 2 of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers

Emilio Estevez will apparently not be returning for the second season of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. Disney Television Studios’ ABC Signature has supposedly decided to not pick up his option for Season 2.

Deadline is reporting multiple reasons for why the production company decided could of decided to not pick up his option. The first possible reason is due to the company’s COVID-19 vaccination mandate. “Estevez, through his reps, has declined to provide assurances that he would comply with the policy”, which asks all members to be vaccinated.

The second possible reason is due to creative differences. “Multiple sources close to Estevez indicate that creative differences may have played a role in his exit”.

Whatever the reason, I’m sad that he won’t be appearing in the new season. I wonder how they are going to write him out of the season.
