Olivia Holt Chats Acting & Music With ELLE While Promoting Salvatore Ferragamo
Olivia Holt sat down will ELLE whilst in the midst of a shoot for fashion brand, Salvatore Ferragamo. The young actress was on hand to pose with some of the newest pieces from the latest Salvatore Ferragamo. Highlights from her interview are below.
On her hit Freeform show, Cruel Summer: “We really wanted to execute the subject matters in the show as real and as raw as possible. As creatives, we were given this brilliant opportunity to help educate our viewers about the issues we discuss in the show, and it’s really great to see the reaction and impact we’ve made just by the narrative we showcased on television.”
On her music: “It has been such an interesting journey as I’ve grown to like other genres. I love hearing guitar and drums, and pieces that can be taken and put into a genre of music that everybody thinks they know and love so well. Pop can become such a stagnant thing, but if you take little elements that you love somewhere else and throw them into the mix, you have this really beautiful piece of art.”
On her career: “I honestly feel like this is just the beginning, which is wild because I’ve been doing this since I was literally a kid. I want to help develop stuff, and keep making movies, television, and music, and just create cool art that people can relate themselves to or escape to. Ultimately, this is the world that I thrive in, and I want to continue doing that for as long as I exist.”
