This is a very sad message for us to tweet. We are devastated. Goodbye, for now, from Gaston and Le fou ❤️

Sad news for fans waiting to see the Beauty and the Beast prequel set for Disney+. It was announced today, February 10, that production on the series has come to a halt.
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting, the series is “on hold amid delays with creative elements and scheduling challenges with its cast. Sources close to the streamer say the show will eventually be made though it’s unclear if the cast, including film stars Josh Gad and Luke Evans, will be available when (and if) that comes to pass.”
Both Gad and Evans took to their Twitters to share the devastating news and their feelings regarding the halt. Gad stated in a tweet, “Sadly, ‘Tis true. We tried to make it all work but under the gun it wasn’t meant to be… for now. These characters and this story will live on, but sometimes the best intentions & reality collide & nothing can be done.” while Evans stated, This is a very sad message for us to tweet. We are devastated. Goodbye, for now, from Gaston and Le fou”.
Here’s hoping they can work out whatever is going on and get the show up running with these two back on board. Though, if they get it back up and running without them, I don’t think I will be tuning in. What do you guys think about this whole thing?
