Barry Keoghan’s Joker Comes Face To Face With Robert Pattinson’s Batman In Deleted Scene From The Batman
The first deleted scene from Warner Brothers’ recently released film, The Batman, has been unveiled. This new creation, based on the DC Comics’ hero, stars Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz.
In this new deleted scene, fans get their first look at Barry Keoghan’s Joker as he is visited in Arkham Asylum by Batman (Robert Pattinson). Though Keoghan’s Joker is not ever mentioned by name, the laugh alone is an immediate giveaway.
The Batman is out in theaters now and is headed to HBO Max soon.

Kinda glad they left it out of the finished film. Doesn’t fit tonally, and this would’ve slowed an already-long movie down for no other reason than to drop a familiar face in. No doubt, the fanboys would’ve been screaming bloody murder about the fact that we never see the Joker’s face in focus or unconcealed. What *is* visible, however, is more than frightening enough.

This also takes away from the surprise of the Joker’s limited appearance toward the end of the film, which was effective enough. Also, at certain points, Barry Keoghan’s out-of-focus face and delivery remind me of Donnie Darko-era Jake Gyllenhaal. Keeping this scene out of the film was a wise choice.
Exactly my thought! Though, the clip did a nice job getting me excited to see this relationship explored in future films (if we get them).
