HBO Max Announces New Series, DEAD BOY DETECTIVES Based On DC’s “The Sandman” & “Dead Boy Detectives” Comics
HBO Max is adding another DC Comics’ creation to its original series lineup. The streaming site has given the greenlight to the new series, DEAD BOY DETECTIVES based on DC’s “The Sandman” and “Dead Boy Detectives” comics.
This new eight-episode horror series is being streamlined by Steve Yockey, who is not only the showrunner, but the write of the pilot episode. According to HBO Max, “It’s a fresh take on a ghost story that explores loss, grief, and death through the lens of Edwin Payne and Charles Rowland, two dead British teenagers, and their very alive friend, Crystal Palace. So, it’s a lot like a vintage detective series — only darker and on acid.”
This should be good!
