Florence Pugh To Star & Co-Produce New Limited Series, Based On East Of Eden

Florence Pugh has landed a new role! The young actress is set to star in a new limited serie based on East Of Eden by John Steinbeck.

Florence, who is also set to co-produce alongside Zoe Kazan, is set to play Cathy in the upcoming adaptation. According to Deadline, this new film for Netflix “…will explore the novel’s themes of trauma and repair; love and betrayal; duty and free will. The series will sketch an intimate portrait of the Trask family against the backdrop of huge historical forces — or, as Steinbeck put it, ‘the story of my country and the story of me.'”

Casting is still underway on the rest of the cast. No word on when production is expected to start.
