Eddie Redmayne and Jessica Chastain Dazzle at the Special Screening of Netflix’s The Good Nurse

Eddie Redmayne and Jessica Chastain attended a special screening of their new film, The Good Nurse last night, October 18 in New York City. The duo was joined at the event by their fellow costars, Nnamdi Asomugha, Noah Emmerich, Alix West Lefler, Devyn McDowell, and Malik Yoba, Director Tobias Lindholm, Writer Krysty Wilson-Cairns, Producers Scott Franklin, Darren Aronofsky, and Michael A. Jackman, Executive Producer Glen Basner, and author Charles Graeber.

Based on the book by Graeber, “Amy, a compassionate nurse and single mother struggling with a life-threatening heart condition, is stretched to her physical and emotional limits by the hard and demanding night shifts at the ICU. But help arrives, when Charlie, a thoughtful and empathetic fellow nurse, starts at her unit. While sharing long nights at the hospital, the two develop a strong and devoted friendship, and for the first time in years, Amy truly has faith in her and her young daughters’ future. But after a series of mysterious patient deaths sets off an investigation that points to Charlie as the prime suspect, Amy is forced to risk her life and the safety of her children to uncover the truth.”

I love that after the screening the nurse the story was written about, Amy Loughren, and the detectives who helped solve the crime, Timothy Braun and Daniel Baldwin were brought on stage. What a great moment that had to be for them!

The Good Nurse will be released to select theaters on October 19 and to Netflix on October 26.
