Lily Collins Covers The New Issue Of Vogue France
Lily Collins is on the cover of the new issue of Vogue France. The actress is on the December issue to promote her hit series, Emily In Paris. Highlights from her interview are below.
On the series helping to catapult other industries: “Certainly, we had this desire to work with emerging designers – even if they weren’t yet in Vogue! This summer, I met a lot of young people who explained to me that they thought of Emily’s dressing room when they were packing… It’s very interesting that the series has become a platform for new talents – and not only for young actors but also cafés, restaurants, bakeries… When I think that there is an Emily in Paris tour offered to tourists, I pinch myself to believe it!”
On whether having a famous father helped her with her career: “It was out of the question that people think that I use a free pass thanks to my name. I’m proud of my dad, but I wanted to be me, not just his daughter. For that, I was ready to wait to break through. By dint of failed castings, I learned to focus more on my work, and I managed to make acting my job. But I’m not resting on my laurels: this environment is very competitive and places are expensive!”
