Melissa Barrera Attends Miami Film Festival Ahead of “Carmen” Trailer Release

The trailer for Melissa Barrera and Paul Mescal’s new film, Carmen has been released. Directed by Benjamin Millepied, the movie is based on the opera by the same name.

Carmen is a gritty modern day tale, with a majestic score, and dream-like dance sequences that evoke magic realism. With music by the wonderfully talented Nicholas Britell – which is one of the most exciting parts about this.

Last night, March 9, Barrera celebrated the new movie at its screening in Miami. The film was one of many being screened during the Miami Film Festival.

The movie will open in New York City and Los Angeles on April 21.
