Universal Pictures Releases First Footage From Wicked At CinemaCon
Universal Pictures debuted the first photo from their highly anticipated two-part film, Wicked, yesterday, April 26, at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. Starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, the footage released showcased the world of Oz and Ariana and Cynthia’s rendition of the hit song, “Defying Gravity”.
In this new film, based on the Broadway musical and book by Gregory Maguire, tells the untold story of the two witches of Oz before, during, and after Dorothy’s adventure. Part 1 of Wicked is set to be released on November 27 and Part 2 will be released on December 25, 2025.
