Amazon Studios Picks Up Glen Powell’s New Documentary, ‘The Blue Angels’
Amazon Studios has picked up Glen Powell’s new documentary, The Blue Angels. Powell’s production company, Barnstorm Productions, along with Bad Robot, Zipper Bros Films, and Dolphin Entertainment came together to produce the new documentary,
Directed by Paul Crowder, the doc “follows the newest class of the storied Navy and Marine Corps flight squadron through intense training and into a season of heart-stopping aerial artistry, and the veterans on the team who, this year, will take their final flights. It marks the first time the iconic blue and yellow F/A-18 Super Hornets will be featured in Imax. The film also captures the spectacle of this traveling air show through key members of the support staff on the ground, as well as from loved ones left at home.”
We had the chance to chat with Powell about this documentary a little bit last year when he was promoting Top Gun: Maverick. His excitement surrounding this project was amazing. I can’t wait to check it out when it hits theaters!
