Ursula Tries to Convince Ariel to Give Up her Voice in New Clip from ‘The Little Mermaid’

A brand new clip from Disney’s The Little Mermaid has been released. In the clip, we see Ursula (Melissa McCarthy) attempt to convince Ariel (Halle Bailey) to give up her voice in the musical number, “Poor Unfortunate Souls”.

Based on the beloved animated classic, this new version stars Halle Bailey, Jonah Hauer-King, Javier Bardem, Melissa McCarthy, Daveed Diggs, and Awkwafina. In this new film, “The youngest of King Triton’s daughters, Ariel is a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. Longing to find out more about the world beyond the sea, Ariel visits the surface and falls for the dashing Prince Eric. Following her heart, she makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to experience life on land.”

The Little Mermaid opens in theaters on May 26.
