Disney+ Bringing to Life Live-Action ‘Gargoyles’ Series

Disney+ is bringing the hit Walt Disney Television Animation series, Gargoyles to life! The streaming platform has enlisted Gary Dauberman and James Wan’s Atomic Monster to create a live-action series.

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting, “Dauberman will write, executive produce and showrun the series with Atomic Monster, the company run by Wan and Michael Clear, joining the executive producing ranks.”

In the original series, “A clan of heroic night creatures pledge to protect modern New York City as they did in Scotland one thousand years earlier.”

I like that Wan has a hand in the new life series, but I still have my doubts. Gargoyles was one of my favorite series growing up, so I really hope Disney allows them to lean into the darkness that surrounded the series. My fingers are crossed!
