Tina Fey to Star in New Comedy Series on Netflix

Tina Fey is heading back to comedy TV. The star has signed on to Netflix’s new series, The Four Seasons, which is based on the 1981 feature film.

The feature film from Alan Alda followed three couples who vacation together every season. After one divorces, feelings of betrayal and more spawn criticisms of one another, but the things that keep them together are stronger than those which might pull them apart.

The eight-episode series is being created by Fey and her 30 Rock teammates, Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield. Production on the series will begin later this year.

We will have to see if the series will be a direct adapation or if it will just be inspired by it. If it is direct, I am going to guess Fey will play Carol Burnett’s Kate Burroughs. What do you think?
