BB Exclusive: EPs Erica Lipez & Thomas Kail Chat Their New Series, We Were The Lucky Ones

Hulu is set to premiere their brand new series, We Were The Lucky Ones, in a few short days. Based on the novel by Georgia Hunter, which accounts the Kurc family and their struggle and will to survive during the harrowing events of World War II.

In anticipation of the premiere, BeautifulBallad had the amazing opportunity to chat with executive producer and showrunner, Erica Lipez, and executive producer and director, Thomas Kail about the new series. During our chat, the pair spoke about what drew them to adapting Hunter’s book into a limited series. They also spoke about the cast, the importance of building a safe environment on set, and so much more.
