Glen Powell Presents New ‘Twisters’ Footage at CinemaCon & Lands Role in ‘The Running Man’ Remake

Glen Powell had landed a new role! The actor is set to lead Edgar Wright’s remake of The Running Man for Paramount Pictures.

Announced during Paramount’s presentation at CinemaCon today, April 11 in Las Vegas, the movie follows Ben Richards (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the original movie), a desperate man who participates in violent reality show called The Running Man in order to win enough money to revive his gravely ill daughter. The show follows Richards being chased by numerous hunters sent to kill him.

However, this isn’t the only Glen Powell news that came out of CinemaCon! Yesterday, April 10, the star took the stage during Universal Pictures’ presentation to show off new footage from his upcoming movie, Twisters. Joined onstage by his costars, Anthony Ramos and Daisy Edgar-Jones, the movie will hit theaters this Summer. You can see photos of the trio onstage here.
