Prime Video announced today, May 14, during its inaugural upfront presentation, they have given the go on an Elle Woods prequel series. Based on the hit character from Legally Blonde, Reese Witherspoon hit the stage during the presenation today to reveal the news.

Entitled, Elle, “Elle follows Elle Woods in high school as we learn about the life experiences that shaped her into the iconic young woman we came to know and love in the first Legally Blonde film.”

No word on who will be playing the younger version of Witherspoon, but may I suggest her daughter Ava?! She looks so much like her mother that it would be a spot on casting choice!
