Glen Powell Talks his Career and his Future in June Issue of ‘Vanity Fair’
Glen Powell is featured in the June issue of Vanity Fair! The actor is in the issue to promote his upcoming Summer movies, Hit Man and Twisters.
In the issue, Powell talks his career, the house party he threw in Los Angeles, leaning into the affair rumors with his Anyone But You costar, Sydney Sweeney, moving back to Austin, his future, and so much more. Highlights can be found below.
On leaning into the affair rumors with costar Sydney Sweeney: “We leaned into the chemistry, we leaned into the fun, we leaned into all of it—and the movie benefited. The fun part with Syd was figuring out what’s going to be noisy and sticky. People talk about TikTok as a thing that is cannibalizing the theaters, and what we saw is that they feed into each other: It becomes more eventized and more fun. Glen, the person, would not have been comfortable with that a year and a half ago. Now I can put myself in a different place and be a character.”
On his future: “I don’t want to be that guy that wakes up 50 years old and didn’t let anybody along for the ride. I don’t think it’ll ever be me because I look at my parents—and I want kids. I really want that. So I don’t think that’ll happen, but I understand how it could happen.”
You can read his full interview here. I find it so interesting all the celebrities moving out of Los Angeles, even New York, to live in other, quieter cities. Austin is becoming a huge hub for the Entertainment industry, so no surprise that more celebs are moving there. Plus, with having been from there its probably more beneficial for Powell who doesn’t have to feel on all the time when he is in LA or NYC.
