Selena Gomez is featured in a new piece for TIME. The actress/singer/entrepreneur is featured in the magazine as part of their “TIME100 MOST INFLUENTIAL COMPANIES 2024” for her work with her company Rare Beauty. Highlights from her interview are below.

On who she choses to spend her time with: “It’s a cliché, but girls are mean. It’s a very weird competition, being in the cool girls area—and then I’m just kind of like, there. I don’t know where I’m meant to belong. I love having levelheaded people around that couldn’t give two f-cks about what I do.”

On her relationship with Benny Blanco: “I know what people can do to people I love. My own fans, who I adore and feel like have shaped who I am, will say the most hurtful things to me about how I live my life. But he has the strength in him that none of that noise fazes him. It’s really impressive, and I just cherish every moment with him. I don’t know what the future holds, but I do know that he’s not going anywhere any time soon.”
