REVIEW: Paramount+ Brings Back The Fun With Paramount+ The Lodge

Paramount+’s The Lodge returns to San Diego Comic Con this weekend!. The offsite experience for the streaming site features a number of activations centered around some of their hit projects, including Star Trek, GHOSTS and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Ahead of the activation’s grand opening last night, July 24, BB got the chance to wander through the lodge and try out some of its activations.

As you enter the lodge, you are immediately greeted by the STAR TREK Discovery starship, where attendees get the chance to create their own t-shirt. As you make your way further into the activation, attendees can go jellyfishing with SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS or grab a temporary tattoo from Ink Masters.

If attendees need a bit of a pick me up while enjoying the activation, they can grab a “slice” with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and a specialty drink geared towards one of the turtles. As attendees head out of the heat and into the inner bar area, they can check out a number of different activations, including checking out scents in GHOSTS‘ Woodstone Manor’s Olfactory Atelier or grabbing a photo with an imaginary character from IF. Fans can also enjoy another drink from the BRED2BUCK Saloon from TULSA KING.

Again, Paramount+ offers a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of Comic Con with this activation. It’s quite immersive, pumping with air condition, and a nice change in environment. As with last year, it can get crowded in the activation. Our hope is that they will keep the crowd small so attendees get to experience everything this offsite has to offer.

Heads up, attendees are given two drink tickets so you won’t be able to try all four TMNT drinks and the two special BRED2BUCK Saloon drinks so choose wisely. The activation is first come, first serve and it will be open Thursday – Saturday: 12 p.m. – 10 p.m and on Sunday: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. over at Happy Days Bar in the Gaslamp district.

Grade: 8/10
