Marvel Studios’ ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Wrap Up Day 1 of SDCC with Screening and Surprise Appearances
Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine wrapped Day 1 in Hall H tonight, July 26 at San Diego Comic-Con. Kevin Feige, Shawn Levy, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and Emma Corrin hit the stage to talk their new movie and surprise fans with a screening of the new movie.
After the screening, the group took the stage again, but this time they were not alone. They welcomed the actors and actresses who make cameos in the new movie. The next line contains SPOILERS, so read at your own risk! Dafne Keen (X-23), Chris Evans (Human Tourch), Jennifer Garner (Elektra), Channing Tatum (Gambit), and Wesley Snipes (Blade) all hit the stage to celebrate with their costars.
When all was said and done inside Hall H, fans were asked to head to Petco Park where an “11-minute-long drone show, featuring 2396 drones that formed the image of Deadpool and then Wolverine. With the Wolverine display, the record for the Guinness World Record for the largest aerial display of a fictional character formed by multirotors/drones was broken. The drone show was accompanied by a specially designed soundtrack showcasing music from Deadpool & Wolverine.”
The movie is now out in theaters! I love that they had the cameos come out onstage at Hall H, but it is going to be impossible not be spoiled before seeing the movie. Kind of loses the allure, but still worth seeing in theaters.
