Take Your First Look at Ciarán Hinds as the Dark Wizard in ‘Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’

Prime Video has released the first look at Ciarán Hinds as a new Dark Wizard in the upcoming second season of Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Hinds was among the stars listed to join the show’s second season earlier this year.

His character is described as “A dark and powerful wizard, whose origins and intentions are shrouded in secrecy, and who has a legion of magic-wielding acolytes who obey his every command — among them the three travelers who sought out the Stranger at the end of Season 1… on the Dark Wizard’s orders.”

Season 2 of the mega-budget Prime Video fantasy drama will premiere next Thursday, August 29, with additional episodes streaming each week until the season finale on October 3.
