The platform announced today, September 18, the series had been given a two season order and it will star the two ladies, as well as Oscar winner Ariana DeBose, Emmy winner Bobby Cannavale, Simon Baker, Rosy McEwen, and Jake Cannavale.

Based on Patricia Cornwell’s best-selling mystery series, the series follows Kay Scarpetta (Kidman), Chief Medical Examiner, as she returns to Virginia and resumes her former position with complex relationships, both personal and professional – including her sister Dorothy (Curtis), with plenty of grudges and secrets to uncover.

As someone who has read this series, I am behind this casting. I can’t wait to see how this unfolds on screen.
